"The 23rd Psalm"

for the International Performance Art Festival
27-29 May 2011 Turku, Finland

A short film from the award- winning Body Psalms project, by the Tim Holmes Studio
Body Psalms questions the value of the body in a capitalist world.

As dancers move, the poem unfolds in a kind of 3-D poetry on their skin.  This beautiful psalm, in its reverie, grief, praise, fear and submission, ends with the word "forever" appearing on the body of a tottering baby, who speaks the ultimate name.

The flesh answers the spirit's longing to honor a sumptuous creator. My hope is to stimulate cultural dialog to reevaluate the true sacredness of the body.
