Longing

LONGING, from the Body Psalms series by Tim Holmes from Tim Holmes on Vimeo.

A 3-minute meditation on how flesh and spirit long for one another. The flesh answers the spirit’s longing to honor a sumptuous creator. Text:
“My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee, in a dry and thirsty land.” (Psalm 63:1)
We all long for the flesh, but is it out of depravity or is it a thirst to unite with the Divine? Do we not live in a terribly dry land?

Restoreth

 sensuous mysticism.

"Restoreth", from the Body Psalms series by Tim Holmes from Tim Holmes on Vimeo.

Body Psalms, an exploration of poetry as sculpture, takes the ancient poetry of the Psalms into new forms involving real people's bodies, unfolding passages of the Psalms painted on skin. "Restoreth" is a 3-minute meditation on how flesh and spirit long for one another. The flesh answers the spirit’s longing to honor a sumptuous creator. My hope is to stimulate cultural dialog on the sacredness of the body.

The film is not for commercial release and will only be used for educational purposes.
