A gorgeous little one-bed cabin was constructed near the coast in the painfully charming village of Carmel, California. Lucky for me it was built by my great-aunt in 1919, after she returned to the US from serving as a WWI nurse, and is still in the family. I paint it with the respect and awe of beholding my beloved aunt herself, who died 50+ years ago.
