Remorse. The fervent plea from a sickened heart to turn back, even 10 seconds, just this once, the cruel tug of time that exposes one foolish choice that from this moment changes me forever. This bronze was presented to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel prize laureate, by the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church in 1987. A human being out for a vendetta has killed the wrong target and must live with the permanent consequences.
Tutu says he kept another of Holmes's bronzes, "The Rumble of Release"  in his private chapel during the height of the apartheid crisis in South Africa.
