Over the years I've had the great honor of doing several projects with Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu. When I visited South Africa after the first free election in South Africa after 500 years of racist rule, I heard an amazing story from Tutu's secretary, with whom I was staying. When he went to his private chapel during the worst years of apartheid to do his daily devotions, he would light a candle before his casting of this sculpture; the best compliment I've ever received!
